Detour Double IPA
Uinta Brewing Co. – Salt Lake City, UT
ABV: 9.5%

CHUG Rating:
Chuggability: 4
Although Detour Double IPA is incredibly smooth, it has a thick syrupy feel to it that’ll sideline any novice chugger. I’d grab another in a heart beat because trust me this shit is delicious, but at 9.5% I don’t recommend throwing it down
How Much: 6
I found this for 11.99$ for a 4-pack at my local shop. That’s pretty pricey, but you’re paying for a tremendous hop content and a Team Chug stamped beer. Don’t be a cheap ass, break that wallet open and pick this up
Uhhh…Taste: 9
The bread and butter here at Team Chug: Taste. Detour Double IPA from Uinta is packed so tightly with hops you can almost smell them before you open it. I was so excited to chug this bad boy and it didn’t let me down. It has a huge syrupy heavy malt content, and thank God because the 95 IBU of hops would overpower you otherwise. It’s caramelly, with a big clean piney grapefruity lingering hop finish. STAMPED!
Gettability: 7
If you’re able to take a Detour (pun wicked intended, but almost immediately regretted..) to your local liquor store and live in one of the 28 states where Uinta distributes, you’ll find this brew year-round

Overall Rating:   9.3

Overplayed jams: SAIL by AWOLNATION
