Even though Self-Righteous slid right down my gullet like Dave Roberts from the ’04 Red Sox sliding into 2nd, I’m not going to score it that high. 8.7% is nothing to joke around with. Ya, sure, it looked easy, but this beer is a monster. Like Dave said, “My head was down, and I was chuggin’!” Couldn’t have said it better myself, Dave. Thanks by the way… Go Sox
How Much: 6
And we have ourselves a 4-pack alert. I found this at my local alcoholic enabling store for $13.99 for a 4-pack. Definitely not a beer that I’m going to be bringing to tailgates, but for special occasions I’ll be opening up my wallet. Did you notice that stamp?
Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous is a Black IPA, but I like to think of it as an “American Black Ale”, and here’s why: This beer screams “‘Merica”! When our forefathers landed here they didn’t skimp on anything. “You want tobacco? Grow it. You want to own guns? Go buy ’em. You want to throw absolutely everything into a beer and make it taste like coffee, chocolate, caramel, citrus, hops, and dreams? Let’s wait a few hundred years, because we think there will be a brewery in our future that will do just that!” Enter stage left (is that the correct theater lingo? I don’t know, doesn’t matter..), Stone Brewing Company. They came around to give the world Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA (American Black Ale), and we’re thankful they did. Go buy this, it’s amazing, STAMPED!
Self-Righteous is being shipped to a store near you if you live in one of the 40 lucky states on their distribution list. That’s good enough for a 9 on our scales
