Stone IPA Review

Stone IPA
Stone Brewing Company
Escondido, CA
ABV: 6.9%

CHUG Rating:
Chuggability: 7
You can tell a lot about a beer when you chug it. This is a very hoppy IPA pushing 7% ABV, yet it goes down the hatch with no problem. If you can chug a beer this easily, you know it’s going to be smooth on a non-chugging day. Feel free to use this beer for either.
How Much: 8
This is a great beer at a really good price. I paid $9.99 for a 6-pack and I do that several times a month. This is one of my staple IPA’s that I always have in my fridge. I basically rotate it with Odell IPA. Both are hoppy, yet silky smooth and reasonably priced. Buy with confidence.
Uhhh…Taste: 9
Did you notice how assertive I was when I shouted the rating on this one? It’s because it deserves it. Piney and floral at first and man that finish is something that even Ron Jeremy would be impressed with. This is one of my favorite “everyday” IPA’s and I’m not afraid to have multiple sixers of it in my beer fridge. Stone makes a ton of great beers and I would consider this their flagship ale.
Gettability: 9
Stone Brewing distributes to 40 States and their IPA is a year-round offering.
