Smuttynose is a company that isn’t going to skimp on their style. This pumpkin is a fine example of that, as they didn’t hold back on the “Fall spices” at all. Not the easiest chug, but I enjoyed the challenge, and would do it again
How Much: 8
9.49$ for a sixer of Smuttynose Pumpkin, that’s not too damn shabby at all. I had a real quick debate with myself on whether or not to stamp this beer, so for under 10$ this is a steal. Go buy it.
For a pumpkin beer, Smuttynose pumpkin packs a hop punch similar to an IPA. It doesn’t have an artificial pumpkin taste, which is appreciated. It’s got a nice medium body, medium carbonation, with a good thick head. It almost had a ginger note to it, which was kinda weird, but a ballsy move on Smutty’s part. It was so close to getting a stamp. There was a tiny something missing, I can’t put my finger on it, but it just wasn’t stamp-worthy.
You can find Smuttynose in 23 states across the US this fall, mainly on the east coast. It’s a seasonal, of course, so it’ll only be available in the Fall
