If you need to chug, you could do worse than this beer. I actually preferred drinking this in 3.8 seconds as opposed to trying to sip through it. This might be a beer mile candidate, as it’s right near the 5% ABV requirement, but I think I’d still go with something a little lighter.

I bought this as a single, but my local liquor stores sells this for $8.99 per 6-pack. Decent price for craft beer in general, but certainly not the best choice at that price point. I’d probably take Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale Ale or Great Divide’s Denver Pale Ale over this, but when any of those are sitting next to Dale’s Pale Ale for the same price, it’s really no competition.
Not really my style of pale ale. It’s a bit darker and maltier with very little hops and almost reminded me of an amber. I like a bit more hops in my pale ale as I think it gives it that nice crisp flavor and better summer drinkability.
Sante Fe Brewing Company distributes to 7 states around the southern Rockies and their Pale Ale is a year-round offering.
