Dark and thick, but it’s not like you’re chewing on it. Once again, these low-fizz beers go down pretty smooth. The only real obstcle here is the froth at the top, so you can chug it pretty fast, just be prepared for a sweet beer-stache afterwards.

I bought it as a single, but my local liquor store sells it for $11.99 for a six-pack. It’s a little on the costy side and though I did enjoy it, I’d probably be looking elsewhere at that price point. Once you start getting up in the $12 dollar range, you can find some pretty amazing beers, so there’s no shame in keeping your standards high.
Nice. This is a little sweeter than I typically like, but it was super balanced and smooth. Just enough of the cocoa flavor to let you know it’s there without making you feel like you’re drinking a candy bar. It’s the right time of year for this style, so it probably got an extra point just because it happened to be snowing outside. If I had one complaint, I’d say they could increase the ABV a bit, but as far as taste goes this was a winner.
