For a stout, Narragansett has crafted themselves a damn drinkable brew here. It’s got a smooth milky finish (she said) that really makes chugging it a pleasure. They’re starting to branch out, and now offer WAY more styles than their original Lager. Don’t rule them out, they’re making a push here, and this coffee milk stout is a step in a great direction

Gansett is doing something right for it’s neighbors here. The Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout is selling for $8.99 for a 6-pack of tall boys. What?! That’s right, that’s damn cheap, and the beer is no joke. You absolutely won’t find a better coffee milk stout sold at this price point. Go buy it
Damn, neighbor! ‘Gansett Lager has been the brew of choice among the company of PBR, Natty Ice, and Busch for years around New England. Their Coffee Milk Stout puts them in competition with a whole new tier of breweries. This one could battle with the best of them. It almost had me thinking “Is this a ‘Gansett?” It’s got a big roasted barley taste, with a long lingering coffee bitterness. The carbonation isn’t overpowering, but it’s there, and it has a nice smooth cold creamy mouthfeel. If it were over 6% this would totally be getting a stamp. Well done, ‘Gansett!
Unfortunately, even though Narragansett has been around forever, they only distribute to 4 states. Their coffee milk stout is a winter seasonal, so if you’re in RI, MA, CT, or NY…keep an eye out in a few months
