Magic Hat #9 Not Quite Pale Ale Beer Review

#9 Not Quite Pale Ale
Magic Hat Brewing Co. – South Burlington, VT
ABV: 5.1%

CHUG Rating:
Chuggability: 7
#9 goes down very very easy. It almost feels like in can be considered a “light beer” because it’s so smooth
How Much: 8
I dropped $14.99 for a 12-pack of Magic Hat. Their winter seasonal pack is very reasonable for a craft beer around Boston
Uhhh…Taste: 6
I know a lot of people love Magic Hat #9, and it does have a nice, crisp, clean finish to it. It has an apricot flavor to it, which really doesn’t do it for me, but I can appreciate Magic Hat trying some non-traditional ingredients in their beers. This one is a staple for them, and it’s well received. I’ll buy it voluntarily from time to time, but I’m never WOW’d, its just “pretty good”
Gettability: 8
This brew is on shelves in 38 states year-round. Keep an eye out for it.

OVERALL: 6.4

Beats: Red Hot Chili Peppers – “Suck My Kiss”…(one of my favorite base lines in any song ever)

    • Thanks, Deanofve! Goofy hats are almost a requirement in a good chug video, so this tiger fits right in!
