I’m going middle of the road on this guy. Did it fly down the hatch? Hell yeah it did, but guess what, I’m not going to be reaching for another right away. This is mainly from experience. It’s 8.6% ABV which is nothing to be messing around with if you’re not used to it. Down a pack of these and you’ll be on your hands and knees

13.99$ for a 6-pack. Woof. Look, that’s up there in price, but this brew earned a stamp. At least it’s not 13.99$ for a 4-pack like a whole lot of stamps we’ve given out. It’s a high-end beer, it deserves a high end price…I just won’t be buying it all the time
Steelhead Double IPA is a brew that walked right up to the plate, cocky as all hell, and demolished a 428ft homerun that left the park before it even got outta the box. I knew it was going to be awesome when I threw it in my mixed sixer in the store, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s hoppy as all hell, almost 100IBUs, but damn does the malt balance the hops out well in this monster. I’d venture to say that it’s resiny? You’re asking a lot from us here to get some technical review words into the mix, “resiny” will have to do. It’s got some earth notes to it, a good medium carbonation, full body, and an alcohol warmth that doesn’t overpower you but subtly reminds you that you’re dealing with a 8.6% concoction. Get half way through this six-pack, get your buzz on, and decide how you want to spend your night with the last 3, because shits gonna get weird. At least it’ll be delicious, STAMPED!
Keep your eyes peeled if you’re in one of the 27 states that Mad River distributes to, and you should see this brew on shelves year round
