Ya know what? This didn’t fly down as quickly as I had expected. You hear “Pale Ale”, you see 5.5%, and you imagine that it’s going to disappear like birthday cake with double butter cream frosting at a “Fat’s Only” Birthday party. Something about Doggie Style gave me some trouble, but when there’s a will, there’s a way, so I was able to power through, possibly due to the sexy-ass music..
How Much: 8
Beer doesn’t come cheap around Boston, but this 6-pack is only demanding $9.99. Now, that sort of price for a stamped beer would have landed this at a “10” in this category, but since this pale ale wasn’t as impressive as I was hoping, it’s knocked down to an 8
Uhhh…Taste: 6
Maaaan, this was a bit of a disappointment. Look, don’t get me wrong, it’s a good pale ale. Flying Dog doesn’t typically disappoint, but there was something missing here. I’m going to use the word “Dank” for the first time ever. I felt that these hops were “dank”, which is a positive. It’s fairly highly carbonated despite the low head, and had an earthy piney feel to it. My defining characteristic when it comes to a taste rating is balance, and this beer just didn’t have it. Hops overpowered the weak malts, and the brew overall was a bit watery. Not sure if I’ll look this way again when looking for a go to pale ale
Gettability: 8

Mood Music: I literally googled “70’s Porno Music” and came up with this Porno Groove
