Cisco Brewing Pumple Drumkin Beer Review

Pumple Drumkin
Cisco Brewing Co. – Nantucket, MA
ABV: 6.0%

CHUG Rating:
Chuggability: 6
Fall is here! It’s time for some pumpkin beers. We’re not about beating around the bush here at Team Chug, so let’s get right to it. Pumple Drumkin flew down the hatch, sure, but you’re gonna find that pumpkin beers typically have a good amount of spice additives, which aren’t a chuggers best friend. That being said, I’d gladly grab another Drumkin and slug it down, it’s a solid “go to” pumpkin brew
How Much: 5
I found this drunken little pumpkin guy sitting on the shelves for 11.99$ per 6-pack. That’s not that bad, but the beer didn’t get a stamp and there are other comparable brews out there for a bit cheaper
Uhhh…Taste: 7
We’re kicking you off with a beer that would be a great choice for all of the Pumpkin Beer haters out there. Pumple Drumkin has a very subtle pumpkin flavor, you know it’s there but it’s not overpowering. It has some mild spice notes, medium carbonation, medium body, and a disappointingly thin head. Drumks is fairly hoppy for the style, and leaves you with a dry spicy hop finish. Close but no cigar. As we all know an “8” around here earns you a stamp of approval, but this one fell just short
Gettability: 4
As my girlfriend can tell you, it’s a complete shame that pumpkins are seasonal, but they are. Cisco distributes to 22 states, and this is their Fall option

Overall Rating:   7.2
