Chug Madness – Championship Game

Dogfish 90-Minute IPA has steam rolled it’s way into this game. It is touted as possible the best IPA in America, and rightfully so. The perfect balance of a medium to heavy malt body and a huge 90 IBU hop hit with 9% alcohol make this beer a force to be reckoned with. In steps Anderson Valley Heelch O’Hops. This is where things get interesting. Heelch doesn’t have a well known title, but once you get under the cap you’re going to find a malt sweetness you almost never find in a beer that’s hopped up over 100 IBUs, and it delivers 8.6% ABV roundhouse kick to your palate. Of course the finals would bring you a Poopthoughts VS Homebrews32 match-up. The chugger holds no weight in this battle however, as the winner should be chosen with only one question in mind, and that is “Which beer deserves the title of Team Chug Super Elite Champion?” You have a choice to make, who is it going to be? 90-Minute IPA, or Heelch O’Hops?

These two beers beat out some delicious brews in the Final Four round. Here’s a look at who they had to go through.

Here’s the full Chug Madness bracket to see how these brews got here.

  1. 90 minute is a solid beer, but it is just a little to sweet for my taste when it comes to IPA/IIPA. gonna have to go with Anderson Valley on this one!
