Boddington’s Pub Ale Beer Review

Boddington’s Pub Ale
Anheuser-Busch InBev
(formerly Strangeways Brewery)
ABV: 4.6%

Chuggability: 4
The creamy texture was definitely an obstacle. It didn’t seem to want to stay in the glass or in my mouth and I ended up with a gnarly foam stache and beer on my pizza triforce shirt.
How Much: 2
I bought this as a single, but my local liquor store sells it at $6.50 for four 16oz tallboys. It’s not expensive, but it’s also not good.
Uhhh…Taste: 3
It’s basically creamy Budwesier. It just didn’t have any characteristics that I found appealing. Even the bitterness, which I appreciate in a good hoppy beer, was fairly unpleasant here.
Gettability: 10
It’s distributed by beer giant Anheuser-Busch, so it’s pretty much everywhere.

Overall Rating:   2.6

Ambiance: Daniel Johnston – “Casper the Friendly Ghost”

By the way, if you don’t know anything about Daniel Johnston I highly recommend the documentary “The Devil and Daniel Johnston.”
