Sierra Nevada Brewing Company
It’s that time of year when relatives come to visit, so if you’re like me you need to take the edge off and the faster the better. I just don’t think I should be expected to have to grind through the holidays without a whole bunch of booze in me. That’s part of the reason this one went down so quickly. The other reason is that it’s super tasty, and this time tasty proved to be conducive to chugging.

I bought this as part of a build your own six-pack, because I needed to chug a whole bunch of different beers this holiday season. My local liquor store sells this for $8.99 for six 12 oz bottles. I have a habit of overlooking Sierra Nevada, but you’re going to have a tough time finding a better beer at this price point.
This one really surprised me. I didn’t read the label or anything about it before crushing it, so I didn’t realize it was a fresh hop IPA. I had gotten used to English strong ales and fruity spicy malty christmas ales so it was, as Cousin Eddie would say, a real nice surprise, just a real nice surprise. It was just the way I like my IPA’s, hoppy and smooth. I fully admit that I tend to avoid huge craft breweries, but in this case I would have been doing myself a great disservice. Nice effort here by Sierra Nevada.
Sierra Nevada distributes to 50 states and the District of Columbia plus Canada probably and like everywhere else, but Celebration Ale is a winter seasonal, so you can only get your hands on it a couple months out of the year.
